Belfast, on the banks of the River Lagan is the capital and largest city in Northern Ireland with a population of about 350,000.
Belfast was a major center for th violence known as the Troubles that surrounded the partition of Ireland in the 1970s and 1980s.
When we visited in 2019, we saw no sign of the discontent.
We only spent a couple hours touring around the city before we went to see other sites in the countryside.
